Common questions

Why don't I see any events?

Events come from library, town and class calendars near your location, and some areas have more than others; event listings currently cover New York's Capital Region. If none are near you yet, the Events, Weekly and Classes tabs say so, and Places and the Map still show playgrounds, parks and places anywhere in the U.S. Try a wider distance, or email us a link to your library's or town's calendar.

How do I change my location?

Tap ZIP under any page title and enter a ZIP code. To go back to your current location, allow location access when the app asks, or turn it on in Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services › Somewhere.

How do the age groups work?

Tap one or more age groups: Little Kids (0–4), Kids (5–11), Teens (12–17), Adults (18+) or Seniors. The app shows events the organizer listed for those ages. Events for all ages are included unless you turn off All-ages.

An event was cancelled or the details are wrong.

Listings come straight from each organizer's own calendar, and the app picks up changes within a few hours. Tap Website on the listing to check the organizer's page, and always confirm before you go. If something still looks wrong, email us.

Can you add my library, town, business or class?

Yes. Email us a link to the public calendar or schedule. We can usually add calendars from LibraryCalendar, LibCal, Communico, Localist and most parks and recreation sign-up sites.

Does it work offline?

The app keeps a saved copy of recent listings, so what you've already loaded still shows with a weak signal. New searches, maps and place details need a connection.

How much does it cost, and how do I get a refund?

Somewhere To Be is a one-time $0.99 purchase with no subscriptions, ads or in-app purchases. Purchases are handled by Apple. To ask for a refund, go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account, find the purchase and choose Request a refund. Apple decides refund requests under its own rules; we can't issue refunds ourselves.

How do I delete my data?

Everything the app saves is stored on your device. Deleting the app removes it. There's no account, so there's nothing else to delete.
