Privacy Policy

Effective October 20, 2026 · Just A Little Project Studio LLC

Pebble Play is made for young children, so it's built to collect nothing about them or you. There are no accounts, ads, analytics, tracking, in-app purchases or links out of the app. A child's first name (optional), the grown-up's setup answers, settings and game progress are saved only on the device. The app goes online only to check our update service (provided by Expo) for new app content and, in the current version, to load its display fonts from Google Fonts. Neither request contains any information about your child or you.

Who we are

Pebble Play is made and published by Just A Little Project Studio LLC, a small independent studio in New York, USA (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information Pebble Play uses, where it goes and the choices you have.

What we collect

Nothing. Pebble Play doesn't collect personal information from children or grown-ups, and nothing is sent to us.

What stays on the device

The child's first name (optional, used so the buddy can say hello), the answers to the grown-up setup questions, settings (buddy, voice, language, sounds, difficulty and play-time limits) and simple game progress are saved only on the device. They are never sent to us or anyone else. Deleting the app deletes them.

Voices, animal sounds and books are built into the app, so it works fully offline. When the device is online, the current version also loads its display fonts from Google Fonts. Those requests contain no information about your child or you, though, like any internet request, Google can see the device's IP address. We plan to build the fonts into the app in an upcoming update.

App updates

To deliver improvements, the app checks our update service (EAS Update, provided by Expo) when it opens and downloads new versions of the app's content. This request includes only technical details needed to send the right update, such as the app version, the device's operating system and a random install number the update service uses to deliver updates. It doesn't include any information about your child or you, and it isn't used for advertising or tracking.

Grown-up area

Settings are behind a grown-up gate: press and hold the lock button for about two seconds. The play-time limit's rest screen can only be dismissed the same way.

Children's privacy

We follow the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Apple's rules for apps in the Kids category. Because we don't collect personal information, there is nothing for us to share, sell or delete. Parents can contact us at any time with questions.

Purchases

If Pebble Play is a paid download, Apple handles the payment and doesn't share payment details with us. If you have turned on Share With App Developers in your iPhone's Analytics & Improvements settings, Apple may give us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. Apple strips them of anything that identifies you, and you can turn this off in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.

Keeping and deleting information

Everything Pebble Play saves stays on the device until the app is deleted. Deleting the app removes it all. We hold no information about you or your child, so there's nothing else to delete.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top. If a change affects how we use information we already have, we'll say so clearly here (and in the app where that makes sense) before it takes effect.
