Privacy Policy

Effective October 20, 2026 · Just A Little Project Studio LLC

Bit Hoops doesn't collect personal information. There are no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking. Your record and settings stay on your iPhone. If you're signed in to Game Center, your win-loss record, scores and achievements go to Apple's Game Center. Pro Shop items are optional in-app purchases through Apple, checked with RevenueCat using an anonymous ID. The game checks GitHub Pages for new game files, without sending personal information.

Who we are

Bit Hoops is made and published by Just A Little Project Studio LLC, a small independent studio in New York, USA (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information Bit Hoops uses, where it goes and the choices you have.

What we collect

Nothing that identifies you. Bit Hoops doesn't send information to us, and we don't run a server that stores information about players.

What stays on your device

Your win-loss record, stats, settings and the Pro Shop items you've unlocked are saved on your device. They're never sent to us. Deleting the app deletes them (purchases can be restored, see below).

Apple Game Center

Game Center is optional. If you're signed in to Game Center on your device, your scores, win-loss record and achievements are sent to Apple's Game Center so they can appear on leaderboards and in the Games app. Your Game Center nickname (and, if you have one, your Game Center picture) can be shown in the game and to other players on leaderboards. Game Center is run by Apple under Apple's privacy policy; we don't receive your Apple Account details, and we only see leaderboard entries the same way any player does.

You can sign out of Game Center, or change who can see your activity, in Settings › Game Center. The game works without it.

Pro Shop purchases

Pro Shop items are optional one-time in-app purchases made through Apple. Apple handles the payment and never shares your payment details with us.

We use RevenueCat to check which items you've bought and to restore them on a new device. When the shop is used, RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID it creates, your App Store purchase receipts and the items you own, along with technical details such as your device's operating system, app version and IP address. RevenueCat isn't given your name, email or Game Center details, and it doesn't use this data for advertising. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

Game updates

To deliver new versions of the game without waiting for an App Store update, Bit Hoops checks a file on GitHub Pages when it opens and downloads new game files if there are any. This request contains no personal information, and the update tool built into the app doesn't send usage statistics. Like any website, GitHub may record standard technical details such as your IP address under GitHub's privacy statement. We don't receive or use that information.

Services we rely on

If you have turned on Share With App Developers in your iPhone's Analytics & Improvements settings, Apple may give us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. Apple strips them of anything that identifies you, and you can turn this off in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.

Children

Bit Hoops is suitable for all ages. We don't collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Game Center and purchases for children are managed by the parent through Apple's Family Sharing and Screen Time settings, where purchases and Game Center features can be limited or turned off.

Keeping and deleting your information

We hold no information about you, so there's nothing for us to delete. Your progress stays on your device until you delete the app. Purchase records are kept by Apple and, in anonymous form, by RevenueCat so your purchases can be restored. Game Center data is managed by Apple in Settings › Game Center. To ask RevenueCat to delete its anonymous purchase record for your device, email us.

Your choices

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top. If a change affects how we use information we already have, we'll say so clearly here (and in the app where that makes sense) before it takes effect.
